Drawing from her background as a competitive athlete and coach, along with her specialized training in athlete mental health, she understands the unique pressures and challenges athletes face. Ellyn’s passion is to create a supportive, non-judgmental space where clients feel empowered to share, grow, and achieve mental wellness in all areas of life.

Her approach is trauma-informed, strengths-based, and client-centered, meaning she tailors her work to meet your needs while celebrating your strengths. Whether you're a recreational athlete, a seasoned professional, or someone supporting an athlete such as a coach or parent, Ellyn is here to guide you in overcoming challenges, building resilience, and thriving both in sport and in life.

As a Registered Social Worker (RSW), Ellyn uses evidence-based techniques to offer psychotherapy and mental health support. She takes a personalized approach to therapy, drawing from a variety of evidence-based practices that best support your individual needs. In addition to holding a Master of Social Work and an honours degree in Criminology, Ellyn has completed additional training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), as well as addiction, trauma, clinical supervision, Safe Sport, and crisis intervention. Ellyn’s specialized education in athlete mental health, including a Certificate in Sport Social Work and an IOC Diploma in Mental Health in Elite Sport, allows her to address the specific mental health challenges athletes face.
